Elizabeth Ann Hughes-2019 Loveland, Colorado City Council-Ward III
Grassroots fundraising for 2019 City Council Candidate Elizabeth Ann Hughes (Loveland, Colo.-Ward III). Candidate Hughes is a two-year resident of Lincoln Place Apartments in Downtown Loveland. Previously, she has lived in Cherry Creek and Greeley. Candidate Hughes holds a B.A. in Government from Dartmouth College, is certified in leadership training as a 2018 OFA Fellow, was a national journalist trained in ethics by the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), and has campaigned at the national level for Democrats. Currently, she is registered as Unaffiliated in Larimer County. Candidate Hughes' platform includes: inclusiveness toward non-Colorado natives, proactive and goal-based advocacy for homeless people who seek to improve their situations, renters' rights, graceful expansion that acknowledges the influx of new residents, support for cultural programs that celebrate the City's hertiage, and additional funding for library resources. Speaking to library resources, Candidate Hughes plans to work on professional certification programs in virtual classroom settings that are immediately marketable.
